Being the son of a restauration carpenter/contractor and growing up on and around construction sites I developed an extensive curiosity for the (historical) built environment on a young age. During my studies in Rotterdam and Delft this grew towards a broader passion for building techniques and materials which found its climax in my graduation project: The FRP pillar. On a professional level this resulted from being a carpenter to set up my own building consultation company in 2014 where I tend to put my years of education in practice. Work consisted of creating the drawings of the existing buildings, consult in building physics, materialisation, structure, construction, Dutch regulations (bouwbesluit) up to the actual realisation of the project.
